3rd Annual Okarchefest

The 3rd annual Okarchefest is coming up August 28th so mark your calendars. This community event takes place on Main Street in downtown Okarche. The fun filled day will begin at 9am with the Mad Dash 1mile or 5k walk/run. Live entertainment will perform on Main Street throughout the day beginning at 10am and ending the event at 11:30pm. A variety of food vendors will be present this year for lunch and dinner. Plus, crafters will show off their skills and their goods for purchase filling up the rest of Main Street, east of the stop light, right off Highway 81. A kiddie corral with exciting games and inflatables will be set up next to the post office.  Be sure to get your kids a wristband good for the entire day for only $10. 

Okarchefest is the one fundraiser for the year put on by the Okarche Educational Foundation (OEF). The OEF is a non-profit organization who directly supports the Okarche Public School system. This year alone, the OEF has approved over $15,600 in teacher grants. Thanks to the support of the local and surrounding area communities and generous donations from our sponsors, the OEF hopes to continue and grow the financial support provided to the Okarche Public Schools.
